Why BAR has launched

Beyond Animal Research exists because the old approach had gone as far as it could. Protest and petition raise awareness, but they rarely change what happens inside a lab.

BAR takes a different route. It treats scientists as allies, funds and validates the methods that replace animals, and makes the case that replacement is better science, not only kinder science.

After more than a decade in this field, the founders know one thing for sure: real change needs bold action. This is that action, made real.
