A win for animals and science, the NIH backs human-based research

The National Institutes of Health, the largest medical research funder in the world, has launched an initiative to advance human-based science and reduce animal use.

When the NIH moves, the field moves with it. Funding shapes which methods get developed, taught, and trusted, so a signal this size gives replacement science a real runway.
